Strategic,
by design.

Public purpose organisations are navigating growing complexity. The pace of change, community needs and expectations, and financial pressures mean leaders are being asked to make important decisions in increasingly challenging environments.

There is an opportunity to approach strategy, decision-making and implementation differently.

When organisations create space for more human-centred thinking, broader perspectives and structured collaboration, problems get understood more fully before they are solved.

Participation builds ownership. Ownership helps ideas become action.

Strategy and decisions carry more weight because diverse perspectives shaped them. And organisations are better equipped to adapt, align and move forward with confidence.

Chrisanya Martin.
Design-led strategic advisor, consultant and facilitator for public-purpose organisations.

I work with government and public-purpose organisations as a strategic partner, helping leaders navigate complexity, strengthen decision-making and connect strategy to action.

This is across the full breadth of strategic decision making - from first understanding a challenge, building alignment and agreed direction, through to hands-on implementation.

I’ve held senior and executive roles across local government corporate services, spanning corporate strategy and planning, transformation, finance, and people and culture. I’ve also completed the RMIT Master of Design Futures, researching the adoption of design thinking as an organisational capability.

This experience gives me a deep understanding of how organisations plan, make decisions, allocate resources and translate intent into outcomes - and how to work collectively to make it better.
